What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sterile Processing Manager position at Redlands Community Hospital - STERILE PROCESSING?
Reporting
to the Director of Surgical Services, this position is responsible for the management
of the Sterile Processing Department staff and coordinating the day-to-day
activities of the Sterile Processing Department. Responsibilities include but
are not limited to ensuring established procedures and standards of practice
are followed for decontamination, cleaning, and processing, and ensures
consistent appropriate sterilization of instrumentation and equipment. *Ability to meet all job & physical requirements as outlined in job description or as agreed through a work place accommodation.
EDUCATION/TRAINING/
EXPERIENCE: 1.
High school
graduate or equivalent preferred. 2.
Bachelor's degree
preferred. 3.
Three years of
central processing experience required; five years preferred 4.
Training in sterile
technique, the care and handling of surgical instruments, and instrument
identification preferred. 5.
Three to five
years supervisory experience preferred. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: 1.
CBSPD or HSPA CRCST
certification. 2.
MAB is required
to be completed on the first day of work. (Grandfathered: existing
employees must complete new requirements by 6/9/2025.)
Salary : $85,342 - $123,739
