What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Access Representative - Perinatal Services position at Redlands Community Hospital - PERINATAL SERVICES?
This position provides front office support performing various clerical and technical duties and is responsible for financial counseling of patients, effective management of financial transactions, and timely entering of charges, patient referrals, coordinates Vaccines for Children program, scheduling patient appointments, patient registration, maintaining medical records, determining program eligibility and billing. May perform duties at multiple work locations.
1. Ability to read, write and speak Spanish preferred.
2. Computer literacy is required, including Word and Excel.
3. Medical billing with ICD-10 and CPT coding experience highly desired.
4. Medical insurance verification and billing experience highly desired.
5. One year of clerical experience and EMR computer knowledge in a hospital setting, preferred.
6. High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
