Pre-Hospital Coordinator, RN

Reporting to the Director of Emergency Services, this position will coordinate pre-hospital communications and will act as a liaison between the hospital and area Emergency Medical Services (EMS) providers. Serve as an advocate of the hospital with local, regional, and state EMS agencies. This position is responsible for development, planning, and provision of educational opportunities for pre-hospital personnel, MICNs and ED personnel including providers. The position will have oversight of policies and procedures involving patients arriving by EMS. Collaboratively, the position and the Director of Emergency Services will oversee education, compliance, and quality of Redlands Community Hospital’s base station hospital program. The position will also assist in data collection, monitoring, and analysis for the quality measures specific to the Emergency Department. Other duties may be assigned .

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:

1. Minimum 5 years MICN experience required.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

1. Current California RN license required.
2. Current certification as mobile Intensive Care nurse (MICN) required.
3. Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS required.
4. MAB certificate required within 6 months of hire.
5. Ability to develop and conduct educational programs preferred.
6. CEN preferred.
7. State EMS Educator Certification within 6 months of hire.
