The Kansas City Assessment and Triage Center (KC-ATC) is a comprehensive crisis and stabilization program serving the needs of Kansas City’s at risk population. Employing a multidisciplinary staff, KC-ATC is a resource for Law Enforcement, Hospital Emergency Departments and Community Mental Health programs in the greater Kansas City area.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and provide the day-to-day support services needed in the operation of our KC-ATC Crisis Center.
- Greet and assist clients upon arrival, providing a welcoming and professional first impression.
- Answer and direct incoming calls, take accurate messages, and record hospital referral information as needed.
- Coordinate services and communication between departments to ensure efficient and seamless client experiences.
- Support office-related projects, including workflow improvements, data management, and quality management initiatives.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional lobby and reception area.
- Foster positive client and staff relationships, ensuring professionalism and high-quality service at all times.
- Ability to work a full time (40 hours per week) schedule of Sunday - Thursday 11:00 am - 7:00 pm
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration or related field or equivalent discipline from an accredited university preferred; minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required.
- One (1) year of administrative experience highly preferred.
- Knowledge and ability to utilize confidential material such as Electronic Medical Records
- Requires Intermediate office equipment such as computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs as well as the use of email, copy/fax machine, phone, and a calculator.
- Previous experience handling a large volume of incoming calls.
- Experience in a mental health or substance use disorder setting and/or working with clients who have a severe and persistent mental illness or substance use disorder.
- Understanding the function of nonprofits, specifically within behavioral healthcare is preferred.
- Strong analytical capabilities and conflict resolution skills.
- Acts with integrity by observing ReDiscover policy/procedures, accreditation standards, laws, and ethics.
- Self-Driven individual with a customer service focus.
- Team-Oriented and skilled in collaborating with others.
