What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Circulator position at Redington-Fairview General Hospital?
RFGH has an Operating Room Circulating RN position available. The ideal candidate will provide patients with safe perioperative care in the Operating Room in an outstanding team-oriented work environment that includes surgeons and anesthesiologists. The Circulating RN will set up and troubleshoot equipment, perform accurate sponge and sharps counts with a Scrub person as well as monitor the patient for safety and sterility, plus other required duties in the Operating Room.
Status: Full time, 35 hours/week with a required share in the weekend/overnight/holiday call rotation.
Qualities: This team player will have excellent critical thinking and communication skills. The ability to work independently but also collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while providing patient centered care is a must.
Requirements: Previous OR experience is preferred but will train the right candidate. Current BLS certification is required. ACLS and PALS required within one year of hire.
