About the Role
Redhorse is transforming how government agencies utilize data and technology. This System Engineer role is crucial to developing a cutting-edge IT application that will streamline data access requests for our government clients. You will be the technical lead, designing and implementing a system that automates workflows, enabling efficient review and adjudication of data access requests, and seamlessly integrating with third-party systems to retrieve requested data. This application will significantly improve data access efficiency and security for our clients, directly impacting their mission success.
\n- Translate business requirements into technical designs and specifications.
- Design and implement the system architecture for the data access request automation application.
- Develop and maintain data exchange interfaces between system components and third-party systems.
- Ensure secure and reliable connection across all system components and third-party systems.
- Develop and implement programmatic interfaces (RESTful APIs, file-based APIs, etc.) for cross-component communication.
- Implement and maintain system and metrics monitoring; utilize tools to display and analyze log data.
- Work with relational database technologies like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Engineer.
- Working understanding of cloud application architectures.
- Experience with cross-domain system interconnects.
- Experience with programmatic interfaces like RESTful APIs, file-based APIs, and other cross-component communication.
- Understanding of relational database technologies like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Design of systems handling and storing sensitive information like PII or HIPAA data.
- Development of business process workflows and automation technology.
- Experience developing software and/or scripts.
