The Opportunity
As Vice President of Social Services, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for social services programs across approximately 20 skilled nursing facilities throughout the Mid-Atlantic. This role is instrumental in driving resident-centered care, regulatory compliance, team development, and program innovation across the portfolio.
This position is ideally based in New Jersey, with regional travel required.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and leadership for social services departments across multiple facilities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and maintain best-in-class quality standards
- Partner with clinical, operational, and executive leadership to enhance resident satisfaction and outcomes
- Lead, mentor, and support facility-level social services teams, fostering a culture of engagement and retention
- Develop and implement policies, programs, and initiatives to elevate psychosocial care delivery
- Monitor and improve quality metrics, survey readiness, and performance indicators
- Serve as a key resource during surveys, audits, and regulatory reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) required; Master’s degree (MSW) preferred
- LCSW or equivalent licensure strongly preferred
- Proven leadership experience in long-term care or skilled nursing, ideally in a multi-site or regional capacity
- Deep knowledge of CMS regulations, survey processes, and long-term care compliance
- Demonstrated success in team leadership, staff retention, and performance improvement
- Strong communication, organizational, and strategic thinking skills
