The team consists of fast-moving builders and innovators dedicated to advancing fusion energy solutions.About the JobThe Mechanical Engineer will contribute to the design, analysis, and fabrication of mechanical systems supporting pulsed power and fusion technologies. This hands-on role requires proficiency in CAD modeling, structural analysis, and design for manufacturability.What You’ll DoDevelop detailed mechanical designs and 3D CAD models using SolidWorks or equivalent software.Create engineering drawings, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.Perform structural analysis using FEA tools and verify results with hand calculations.Participate in design reviews and prototype development.Collaborate with electrical and systems engineers to ensure mechanical-electrical integration.Support manufacturing, assembly, and testing of prototype systems.Travel as required to test sites or partner facilities.QualificationsRequired:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.2 years of CAD design experience (SolidWorks preferred).Demonstrated experience creating engineering drawings and documentation.1 year of experience performing FEA analysis and verification.Strong teamwork and communication skills.Willingness to travel and work extended hours/weekends as needed.Must meet U.S. export compliance requirements (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or eligible under ITAR).Preferred:Experience with design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.Familiarity with data management systems.About The CompanyA rapidly scaling energy innovation organization focused on enabling limitless, sustainable power through fusion and pulsed-power technologies.
