What are the responsibilities and job description for the Roofing Sales Manager position at Redemption Roofing?
Sales Manager
Redemption Roofing | Montgomery, Texas
Build a Team. Develop People. Grow a Business.
Redemption Roofing is looking for an experienced Sales Manager who loves developing people, leading from the front, and building a high-performing sales team.
We’re a family-owned, faith-led roofing company serving the Montgomery, Texas area. We take pride in how we treat our customers, our employees, and the communities we serve. Everything we do is grounded in three simple words: Love. Serve. Care.
To us, that means keeping our promises, treating people with respect, and taking care of our customers long after the job is complete. We’re looking for a leader who shares those values and wants to play a meaningful role in growing our business.
The Opportunity
This role is about more than managing sales numbers. It’s about building people.
We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys teaching and mentoring others—someone who can take a new sales representative with little or no roofing experience and help them become a confident, capable, successful salesperson.
You should have the patience to teach, the experience to demonstrate what works, and the leadership skills to hold people accountable for putting those lessons into practice.
We’ve already developed a structured four-week training program for new sales representatives. Your job will be to take ownership of that program, lead the training process, and ensure every new team member receives the coaching, direction, and support needed to succeed.
This is a hands-on leadership position, not a desk job. We expect our Sales Manager to work alongside the team, run appointments, get in the field, knock doors when needed, and lead by example. You should be just as comfortable coaching a new salesperson through an appointment as you are setting goals and reviewing performance.
What You’ll Do
- Train and develop sales representatives through our established four-week onboarding program, taking an active role in their growth from day one.
- Lead from the field by working alongside salespeople, joining appointments, demonstrating effective sales techniques, and providing real-time coaching.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement through regular sales meetings, training sessions, role-playing, and individual coaching.
- Recruit and grow the team by identifying promising candidates and helping new hires develop into productive sales professionals.
- Set clear expectations and drive results by establishing goals, monitoring performance, and holding team members accountable.
- Develop strong sales fundamentals in roof inspections, presentations, customer communication, follow-up, and closing.
- Solve problems and build confidence by helping salespeople navigate challenges, learn from setbacks, and improve their performance.
- Create a positive, accountable team culture where people are supported, challenged to grow, and proud of the work they do.
What We’re Looking For
We’d prefer someone with roofing sales experience who understands the industry, knows what it takes to succeed in the field, and can teach others how to do the same.
Previous sales management experience is important, but your ability to develop people is just as important as your ability to sell.
The right person will be:
- An experienced sales leader who knows how to motivate a team and drive results.
- A natural teacher and mentor who genuinely enjoys helping others succeed.
- A hands-on leader who is willing to get in the field and demonstrate what good selling looks like.
- Comfortable setting expectations, addressing performance issues, and having difficult conversations when necessary.
- Self-motivated, organized, dependable, and willing to take ownership of the team’s success.
- A strong communicator who builds trust and earns respect.
- A person of integrity who understands that how we do business matters just as much as the results we achieve.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with good character. Someone who treats people right, leads with integrity, and understands that our reputation is worth more than any single sale.
Who We Are
At Redemption Roofing, we’re not interested in being just another roofing company. We’re building a business where employees enjoy coming to work, customers know they’re in good hands, and team members have the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.
We believe in working hard, doing things the right way, and taking care of one another. We take our business seriously, but we also believe work should be enjoyable and that success is even more meaningful when the whole team shares in it.
We have an established customer base and a strong foundation in the Montgomery area. Now, we’re focused on building an even stronger sales team and creating opportunities for the right people to grow with us.
This is an opportunity to make a real impact—not just by growing sales, but by developing people, strengthening a team, and helping shape the future of a growing company.
