Qualifications:Must have valid Driver's License and reliable insured transportation to transport residents to and from school, appointments, jobs, visits and scheduled activitiesMust be at least 21 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED. Behavioral health experience or college education in a related field is desired.Experience working with children/teens with a mostly open availability, mainly afternoons, overnights, and weekendsMust be able to pass BCI/FBI fingerprinting and other background checksMust not have allergies to cats. Girl's unit has 2 catsSkills:Empathy and compassionStrong interpersonal and communication skillsProblem solving, critical thinking, crisis interventionJob Description:Follows scheduled activities with residents, oversees chore completion, conducts activities: self-esteem, conflict management, life skills, recreational, monitor resident's behavior and tracks in logbook, enforce disciplinary policy and procedures, positively reinforce residents, help residents work toward goals, crisis management, cook and clean, dispense medication, assist residents with schoolwork, drive residents to activities with personal vehicle, grounds maintenance. Must follow and adhere to all Redemption House and Ohio DCY policies.
