Work Schedule: Part-time, up to 13 hours per week

Monday-Friday anywhere between 7:40 am and 6:00 pm and Saturdays; 10:00am - 4:00pm

Initial Contract: September 2025 - May 2026 (additional contracts possible upon evaluation)

Purpose of Position: Provide 1:1 academic tutoring to Kindergarten - 5th grade students, with a focus on Literacy Development.

Duties & Responsibilities:

● Plan, prepare, and conduct dynamic, student-centered, 1-hour tutoring sessions in English that follow established guidelines

● Record and complete student progress reports after each session

● Submit all student daily reports to program coordinator

● Complete and submit weekly updates to the Site Supervisor

● Provide 5-10 minute debrief with caregiver in English or Spanish at the end of each tutoring session to communicate student progress

● Commit to arriving on time and prepared for each tutoring session

● Commit to regular training and professional development

● Participate in team meetings

● Participate in quarterly team gatherings

● Complete all required trainings

Requirements:

● Native or Highly Proficient Speaker of English required

● Native or Highly Proficient Speaker of Spanish preferred

● Experience working with students ages 5-12 preferred

● Reliable transportation required

● Highly organized

● Able to express and garner enthusiasm about reading with young children

● Highly energetic

● Willing to learn to use online tools to enhance student success

● Proficient with computers

● Must complete a level FBI II background clearance & National Sex Offender Clearance

● Available to maintain a regular work schedule per week

● Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident
