Ambulatory Surgery Center Registered Nurse ( ASC RN ) - Full Time, Weekdays Only

The Registered Nurse in the Operating Room provides nursing care to patients and also performs non-patient care duties as assigned. Should possess the ability to understand and react effectively to their patients unique needs.  Responsible for assessment, planning, implementing, evaluating and documentation of assigned patients.  Provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.  As a professional, assumes the role of educators for the development of new staff and assistant personnel.  She/he anticipates the needs of the surgical team and provides such services while maintaining as aseptic and safe environment.  The professional nurse functions according to the professional nursing law, according to professional standards and according to their level of knowledge and experience.

Graduate of accredited School of Nursing, licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience, preferably in an ambulatory surgery environment.

Must be knowledgeable of patient’s rights, the nursing process and its applications, and be able to communicate and work effectively with people. 

BLS certificate required

CNOR preferred.
