Job Overview
The Church Secretary / Administrative Assistant supports the daily operations of the church by managing communication, scheduling, and records. This role serves as a key point of contact for members and helps keep everything organized and running smoothly. It also involves assisting the pastor and leadership with administrative tasks and ensuring timely coordination of church activities. The position requires someone dependable, organized, and able to work independently in a flexible (remote or in-person) setup
Duties
- Answer calls and manage communication
- Maintain records (members, attendance, reports)
- Prepare bulletins and announcements
- Manage schedules and calendars
- Assist with basic bookkeeping
- Support the pastor and church leadership
Qualifications
- Committed Christian with a servant’s heart
- Organized, professional, and discreet
- Strong communication skills
- People-oriented and works well with others
- Active member of the church (preferred/required)
Skills:
- Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Strong organization (very important)
- Basic bookkeeping (preferred)
- Teachable and dependable
