Duties
- Manage and oversee all aspects of hospital revenue cycle management, including patient registration, billing, coding, claims submission, and collections.
- Ensure compliance with Medicaid and Medicare regulations, as well as other health insurance policies, to prevent claim denials and audits.
- Lead and develop a team of billing specialists and revenue cycle staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster growth and excellence.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to accounts receivable days, denial rates, and collection effectiveness; implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with clinical departments and EHR (Electronic Health Records) management teams to streamline documentation processes that support accurate billing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health insurance policies, third-party billing procedures, and regulatory changes affecting revenue cycle operations.
- Conduct regular audits of billing processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to all applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospital revenue cycle management with a strong understanding of Medicaid and Medicare regulations.
