About the Role
Picture the plant coming online: lines humming, chillers steady, equipment ready. As our journeyman-level Industrial Reliability Technician, you make that possible. You’ll keep manufacturing systems and facilities assets running at peak performance through preventive maintenance, sharp troubleshooting, precise tool use, and timely repair of building and equipment. When needed, you’ll also operate plant equipment to shorten processing times and cut unplanned downtime.

What You’ll Do
- Execute preventive and predictive maintenance on manufacturing assets and facility systems.
- Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and control issues; identify root causes and implement fixes.
- Select and safely use appropriate hand and power tools to complete repairs and adjustments.
- Perform minor facility and property repairs to sustain safe, reliable operations.
- Operate equipment when needed to improve process throughput and reduce downtime.
Required Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED.
- 6 years of experience in industrial maintenance operations.
- Maintenance certification from ONE of the following:
- Journeyman Certification/License in Electrical, Plumbing, or Mechanical (State certifying authority)
- Certified Assistant Refrigeration Operator — Refrigerating Engineers and Technicians Association (RETA)
- Certified Maintenance Technician Level III — International Maintenance Institute (IMI)
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician — Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP)
Preferred Background
- 8 years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Completion of TWO of the following certifications:
- Programmable Logic Controller Certification — Electronics Technicians Association International
- Journeyman Certification/License in Electrical, Plumbing, or Mechanical (State certifying authority)
- Certified Industrial Refrigeration Operator — RETA
- Certified Maintenance Technician Level III — IMI
- Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician — SMRP
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
You’ll move between office areas and all parts of the plant—indoors and outdoors—with exposure to extreme temperatures, electrical hazards, ammonia, and heavy moving equipment. The role may require nights, weekends, overtime, and occasional travel. It’s a fast-paced, changing environment where the ability to manage stress, collaborate professionally, and reason through complex situations is essential. Strong attention to detail and organization are key. You must be able to use hand and heavy electric tools and lift at least 45 lbs.
