What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist position at Reddy Care Physical Therapy?
We are currently seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented medical receptionist to join our Deer Park office, a clinic that has been a staple in the neighborhood for years! This is a growing location, with a family oriented feel allowing for hands-on training and quick career growth.
At the core of the role, we are looking for a receptionist who can provide great customer service on a daily basis. Responsibilities include:
- Communicate the importance of physical and occupational therapy to our patients.
- Answer incoming calls promptly and in a customer service friendly manner. The office receives 500-600 calls on a daily basis handled by a team of care coordinators
- Encourage patients to keep their appointments, limiting cancellations.
- Schedule appointments for new and returning patients.
- Complete new patient registration.
- Collect applicable payments.
- Responsible for scanning, importing and handling faxes from doctor offices
- Coordinate with patients, therapists, and as required the insurance team, billing team and home care scheduling team
- Manage the physical therapists and occupational therapists schedules.
- Multiple shifts available

What you will need:
- Must live within 30 minutes commuting distance from the Deer Park office
- Excellent customer service skills and a compassion for helping people
- Proficient using an EMR and quick to learn different computer programs
- Experience with managing a multi line phone system
- Self-directed with organizing skills
- Can accurately handle patient scheduling/management
- Punctual and stable work schedule
- Medical reception experience is a plus
