Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled part-time Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team, willing to commute to the clinics we have located throughout Queens & Nassau counties to assist with patient load and therapist coverage. You'll have the opportunity to work in a supportive, collaborative environment with access to state-of-the-art equipment, cutting-edge treatment approaches, and a diverse caseload. Key Responsibilities
- Assist our Physical Therapist team to evaluate, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with a variety of musculoskeletal, neurological, and post-surgical conditions.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, manual therapy, and functional training.
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and self-management strategies.
- Document patient progress and maintain accurate, timely records in our AI-powered EMR system that reduces documentation time by up to 85%.
- Collaborate with referring physicians, other healthcare professionals, and internal team members to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Contribute to our culture of learning through mentorship, case discussions, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications
- Current New York State Physical Therapist Assistant license (or eligibility for licensure).
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for patient-centered care.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
