What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Lathe Setup/Operator position at Redding Reloading Equipment?

Redding Hunter Inc. has produced the world's finest reloading equipment in Cortland, NY since 1946. We are an American family owned and operated manufacturer. We are currently seeking skilled CNC Lathe & Mill Setup Operators.
Hours: 7:00 am - 5:30 pm. Monday thru Thursday. Overtime on Friday as needed.
CNC Lathe & Mill Setup Operator will be expected to set up and operate Mazak and Haas CNC lathes equipped with bar feeders and/or Haas Vertical Mills. You will work under the guidance of the department's lead machinist and manufacturing plant supervisor to help meet production demands. Perform routine maintenance of machines and minor repairs as needed. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of workspaces and equipment.
Requirements:
- 2 years minimum CNC Lathe & Milling machining experience or equivalent education in the machining field.
- Must be self - motivated, able to work independently, willing to learn and be responsible for the quality of your work.
- Must be comfortable working with and maintaining tight tolerances and finish requirements.
- Ability to read, interpret and edit G-code programming.
- Ability to read and work from blueprints and work routers.
- Ability to use various precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, comparators, height gauge, thread and pin gauges).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
Pay: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour
