Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and cost control. This role involves analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure accurate pricing and budgeting for construction projects. The Construction Estimator will play a critical role in the success of our projects by providing precise estimates that align with client expectations and project goals.
Duties
- Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects.
- Utilize software tools such as ProCore, PlanHub & Bluebeam to create accurate estimates and manage project data effectively.
- Conduct negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to assess project requirements and provide input on design alternatives that may affect costs.
- Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that include detailed pricing breakdowns and justifications for estimated costs.
- Maintain organized records of all estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to projects for future reference.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices.
- Familiarity with cost control methods and pricing strategies in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as ProCore and PlanHub is preferred.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Prior experience working on construction sites is advantageous for understanding practical aspects of projects.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
90 day probationary period required position until probation period ends.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $55, $70,000.00 per year
