Position Overview
Our medical device client is seeking an experienced Software Engineer IV to support the development of embedded software for Class III medical devices. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on firmware development, software verification, and cross-functional collaboration throughout the product development lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in embedded C/C development, experience working within a regulated industry, and the ability to contribute technical leadership while partnering with systems, hardware, and cross-functional engineering teams.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware using C/C and Python.
- Develop unit tests, integration tests, and firmware verification tests.
- Analyze software and system requirements to ensure complete and verifiable implementation.
- Participate in software architecture, design reviews, and technical problem solving.
- Document software development activities, change requests, and technical reports in accordance with established quality procedures.
- Maintain development activities within the organization's software lifecycle management tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and support product development.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable quality system requirements for regulated medical device development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 5 to 13 years of experience, Master's degree with 7 to 11 years of experience, or PhD with 4 to 8 years of experience.
- Strong embedded software development experience using C/C .
- Experience developing software within a regulated industry such as medical devices, aerospace, automotive, or similar.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and strong communication skills.
Salary : $60 - $70
