Description:
This role will support product design and development activities for the client’s dissecting tools portfolio, with a primary focus on a Closed Loop Control initiative aimed at improving product manufacturability. The engineer will work in a cross-functional environment, partnering closely with R&D, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality to ensure designs are optimized for production readiness.
Duties:
- Supporting design development and refinement through CAD modeling, drawing updates, and interpretation of engineering specifications
- Support CNC grinding setup and troubleshooting
- Applying GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure critical dimensions meet functional and manufacturing requirements
- Performing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to proactively identify and mitigate product and process risks
- Collaborating with manufacturing teams to transition new designs into production or update current design based on production feedback, troubleshoot issues, and improve yield and reliability
- Participating in design reviews, technical discussions, and root cause investigations to drive continuous improvement
- Documenting technical analyses and supporting deliverables required for design control and product development processes
- Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills during research and/or product development.
- Designs studies to investigate specific life science questions within field of expertise.
- May be involved in product research and development and/or clinical trials.
- Translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products.
