Senior Human Factors Engineer

Sr. Human Factors Engineer (12 month contract // Minneapolis, MN):

On-site – 4 days in office expected per week

Top 3 Skills:

1. Human Factors usability validation study design and execution (as moderator)
2. Generating Use Related Risk Analysis
3. Usability data analysis and report writing

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conducting human factors usability validation testing (including authorship of protocol, study design, study execution, data analysis, and report writing)
• Generating and revising use related risk analysis (URRA)
• Collaborating with cross functional teams on design updates related to safe use of the medical device.

Target Years of Experience: 5-15 years of Human Factors Engineering experience

Duties:

• Applies human performance principles, methodologies, and technologies to the design of human-machine systems and products.
• Develops and implements research methodologies and statistical analysis plans to test and evaluate developmental prototypes used in all phases of products development and processes.
• Designs and executes tests to simulate product use for the purposes of concept selection/refinement, requirements development, use-related risk identification, and formal usability validation with intended users.
• Interfaces with design engineers to establish system design, operating, and training requirements and to ensure optimized human-machine interfaces.
• Identifies and analyzes technological problems or risks, performs theoretical human factors investigations, and develops and implements research and analysis plans.

• Use Related Risk Analysis (URRA) authorship
• Human Factors validation study design and execution
• Usability data analysis and report writing

Nice to Haves:

• Figma
• Experience with development and execution of formative and summative testing activities
• Experience acting as moderator for formative and summative study sessions
