Our client is an established biotechnology organization and is seeking a Manufacturing Data Analytics Specialist to support analytics initiatives within a regulated manufacturing environment. This consultant will serve as the business-facing lead for manufacturing data projects, translating operational needs into effective analytics and visualization solutions in close partnership with data engineering teams.
This is 12-month role with a strong likelihood of extension. This consultant will need to be onsite in Boston 5 days/week.
Responsibilities
- Act as the business lead and primary liaison between manufacturing stakeholders and data engineering teams.
- Gather, define, and document business requirements for manufacturing data analytics initiatives.
- Lead the design and delivery of Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions that support manufacturing decision-making.
- Collaborate with technical teams using Snowflake and SQL to support data modeling and analytics delivery.
- Ensure data accuracy, usability, and alignment with manufacturing workflows.
- Apply data governance best practices and maintain documentation for data products and workflows.
- Support end-user adoption through training, guidance, and ongoing analytics support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-10 years of industry experience, including work in pharmaceutical or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Prior experience serving as a business lead, product owner, or functional lead for analytics initiatives.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI and hands-on experience with Snowflake and SQL.
- Strong understanding of MES, LIMS and ERP systems along with manufacturing processes and data governance principles.
- Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to translate technical concepts into business insights.
