Maintenance Technician

Redbird Bioscience is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our facility in Stilwell, Oklahoma. This position performs preventive maintenance, troubleshoots electrical and mechanical problems, repairs production equipment and building systems, responds to equipment downtime, and assists with new equipment installations.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated problem-solver with industrial maintenance experience and working knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, plumbing, HVAC, and fabrication.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production, processing, cultivation, farm, and facility equipment, including pumps, motors, bearings, gearboxes, plumbing, lighting, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
• Diagnose equipment and system failures, identify root causes, restore safe operation, and recommend improvements that increase reliability, safety, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, including motors, pumps, variable-frequency drives, switches, sensors, relays, contactors, circuit breakers, motor starters, control circuits, and related components.
• Safely use multimeters and other diagnostic equipment to test voltage, continuity, resistance, amperage, and electrical components.
• Read and interpret electrical diagrams, wiring schematics, mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and other technical documentation.
• Repair or replace wiring, control devices, lighting, outlets, switches, disconnects, and other electrical components within the employee’s training and authorization.
• Perform preventive maintenance, including lubrication, oil and filter changes, electrical-connection inspections, lighting replacement, and cleaning tanks and vessels.
• Install, assemble, align, connect, test, and commission new equipment and facility improvements.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures, electrical-safety requirements, and all company safety policies.
• Maintain accurate electronic records of inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, parts used, and equipment condition.
• Maintain tools, replacement parts, and work areas in a safe and orderly condition.
• Respond promptly to equipment downtime and urgent maintenance calls, including outside regular hours when required.
• Coordinate with employees, contractors, and vendors when specialized repairs or licensed electrical work is needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least five years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, Industrial Maintenance Technician, or in a comparable role.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment in an industrial, manufacturing, agricultural, or production environment.
• Working knowledge of electrical safety, lockout/tagout, single-phase and three-phase systems, motors, motor controls, control wiring, and variable-frequency drives.
• Ability to safely use multimeters and other electrical diagnostic tools.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, pumps, motors, bearings, gearboxes, and related industrial equipment.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to complete electronic maintenance records.
• Knowledge of the safe operation of pallet jacks, forklifts, man lifts, tractors, and similar equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, climb, reach, work from ladders or lifts, and lift or move equipment and materials as required.
• Willingness to respond to urgent equipment issues outside regular working hours.
• Must possess an Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority Employee Credential Card or be eligible to obtain one before employment, as required by Oklahoma regulations.

Pay: $15.00 - $28.00 per hour
