About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Cost Accounting Clerk to support product costing, inventory management, production reporting, and pricing activities. This role works closely with Accounting, Purchasing, Operations, and R&D to ensure accurate costing and data integrity.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Maintain material conversion records and coordinate related purchase orders.
- Verify work orders and production costs.
- Prepare daily production efficiency reports.
- Assist with month-end closing activities.
- Update customer pricing and costing information.
- Support product costing and process improvement initiatives.
- Follow GMP and Food Safety requirements.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Business, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in accounting, costing, manufacturing, inventory control, or data analysis.
- Strong Excel, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ERP, accounting, or inventory systems preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly sit and use hands for typing and handling materials.
- Occasionally stand, climb, walk, reach, or lift up to 10 lbs.
- Close, distance, color, and peripheral vision required.
Work Environment:
- Moderate noise level.
- Manufacturing/office environment.
