Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical drawings for metal fabrication projects using CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
- Work closely with engineering, product development, and project management to ensure designs meet specifications and quality standards
- Participate in project meetings to discuss design requirements and modifications
- Update drawings as needed to reflect changes during the fabrication process
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and precision in fabricated metal products
- Clearly communicate with our import vendors to ensure that metal products arrive correct
- Work with installers to troubleshoot and solve assembly challenges in the field
- Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field and/or proven experience as a Metal Draftsman/Sheet Metal Drafter
- Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks
- Knowledge of metal fabrication processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Innovative problem-solver with a proven track record of delivering creative, effective solutions
- Highly organized self-starter with strong time-management and prioritization skills
- Experienced in budget management, cost-control strategies, and identifying opportunities for savings
