Job purpose:
Budtenders must promote a positive work environment using strong customer-service skills. You will be asked to bring your unique talent in sales while being compliant with established policies and procedures. This Budtender position will be part-time and work primarily on weekends.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure the sales floor is properly stocked and the presence of the store is well maintained.
- Assist with dispensary operations and opening and closing procedures during hours of operation.
- Work with management team to increase sales and foot traffic.
- Assist patients/customers with understanding product benefits and offerings.
- Educate patient/customers on cannabis properties and selection of proper genetics according to the customer's desired effect, relief for patients' ailments or per request.
- Maintain product knowledge and keep up to date on trends.
- Accurately use and maintain the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Comply with company cash handling policies and perform daily cash management responsibilities and compliance reporting per company policy.
- Daily compliance with dispensary policies, including but not limited to the following: state/local regulation compliance, security protocols, access protocols, inventory tracking, dress code, and work schedules.
Qualifications:
- No previous experience required.
- Previous budtender or retail experience is a plus.
- Able to work weekends.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to pass a background check in compliance with OMMU standards.
- Reliable transportation.
Working conditions:
- The position performs duties inside our highly secured dispensaries.
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to occasionally lift, push, pull and or move up to 25 pounds.
- Required to sit or stand and regularly use hand(s) to handle, grasp, feel, and/or touch packaging or other packaging related materials or equipment.
Pay:
- $16 per hour.
- Able to collect tips.
Schedule:
- 1st shift and 2nd shift.
- Part-Time
- Must have open weekend availability.
