Red Whale Capital is looking for a dynamic, strategic, and supportive Multi-Site Area Director to oversee our growing portfolio of child care centers in the Greater Buffalo area.

As the Area Director, you will act as the vital bridge between our investment leadership and our center-level teams, ensuring operational and educational excellence.
- Lead & Mentor: Supervise, coach, and develop Center Directors. You will cultivate a positive, collaborative culture that reduces staff turnover and keeps teams motivated.
- Master Compliance: Ensure all regional locations strictly adhere to NYS OCFS regulations, local health department codes, and safety laws.
- Drive Business Growth: Oversee regional budgets, track enrollment metrics, manage P&L statements, and spearhead local community engagement to boost enrollment.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site audits to maintain superior educational programming, health, and safety standards.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3–5 years of successful experience as a Child Care Center Director. Multi-site or large-scale facility management experience is a huge plus.
- Compliance Expert: Deep, fluent familiarity with NYS OCFS licensing standards.
- Skills: Strong financial acumen (budgets/P&Ls), exceptional conflict resolution, and top-tier communication skills.
- Mobility: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for daily travel between centers in the Buffalo/WNY area.
