Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently handling food orders and transactions. You will play a crucial part in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and memorable.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their food and beverage orders promptly.
- Provide detailed information about menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
- Accurately enter orders into the POS system and process payments.
- Prepare food items as needed, ensuring adherence to food safety and handling standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, counters, and service stations.
- Assist in restocking supplies and managing inventory levels.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism and courtesy.
- Ability to take initiative during slow shifts and do listed side work or duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant is required. Sushi restaurant experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food handling practices and culinary basics.
- Proficient in basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transactions.
- Familiarity with Clover system is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Outgoing personality that can work well in a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A passion for providing outstanding service and enhancing the customer experience.
- Looking for someone with open availability with working one weekend as a requirement (Friday - Sunday)
