Platform Engineer | Growth and Transformation Charlotte, NC This role is not open to visa sponsorship or transfer of visa sponsorship including those on H1-B, F-1, OPT, STEM-OPT, or TN visa, nor is it available to work corp-to-corp. This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our South Charlotte, NC Headquarters (Tuesday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Mondays and Fridays each week. The Growth and Transformation team at Red Ventures is seeking a Platform Engineer who thrives on solving complex problems at scale. In this role, you’ll shape and optimize our multi-cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Databricks), ensuring they are secure, reliable, and cost-efficient. You’ll work across diverse engineering teams, bringing both hands-on expertise and strategic influence to how we build, scale, and govern our infrastructure. What You’ll Do: Engineer and optimize resilient multi-cloud (AWS/GCP) and multi-region environments. Secure and govern platforms by implementing compliance frameworks and IAM best practices. Automate everything with infrastructure as code (Terraform) and custom tooling. Optimize costs and performance across AWS, GCP, and Databricks by leveraging monitoring and observability tools. Collaborate deeply with engineering teams to shape architecture, resolve incidents, and deliver improvements. Contribute to strategy by influencing architectural decisions and scaling best practices. What We’re Looking For: 3–5 years of platform engineering or cloud infrastructure experience Strong hands-on expertise in AWS and GCP (multi-cloud, multi-region) Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) Experience implementing cloud security and compliance frameworks Skilled in scripting/automation (Python, Bash, Go) Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines Experience with cloud cost management tools (Cost Explorer, Cloudability, etc.) Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across diverse teams Bonus Points for: Direct Databricks administration experience Certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, Databricks) Knowledge of regulated environments (SOC2, PCI, GDPR, financial services) Experience with chaos engineering or disaster recovery planning Exposure to Salesforce, Adobe, or data lake/warehouse architectures Why Join Us? Compensation: This range reflects total cash compensation, which may include base salary only or base salary plus target bonus, depending on the role. Where eligible, equity may also be offered separately and not included above. Actual compensation varies based on location, experience, and qualifications.
