Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive EHS policies aligned with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations using root cause analysis techniques to determine underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
- Coordinate and deliver training programs on topics such as first aid, CPR, OSHA compliance, occupational health, and workers' compensation law.
- Maintain accurate report writing for incidents, inspections, audits, and compliance documentation to ensure transparency and regulatory adherence.
- Manage workers' compensation claims processes in collaboration with HR and legal teams to ensure timely resolution and compliance.
- Promote a culture of safety through employee engagement initiatives, safety meetings, and continuous improvement projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing environments with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and EPA standards.
- Certified in first aid and CPR with practical knowledge of occupational health principles.
- Familiarity with workers' compensation law procedures and report writing skills for incident documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop effective corrective action plans.
- Strong training & development skills to educate employees on safety protocols and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate across departments and foster a safety-conscious culture.
