We are looking for a Senior Oracle HCM/PeopleSoft Technical Specialist to support the migration of legacy Oracle PeopleSoft applications to Oracle Fusion Cloud. The consultant will provide hands-on development and legacy production support, assist with Oracle Fusion HCM implementation and data migration activities, validate deployed fixes, and transfer technical knowledge to the client’s internal team. Candidates located in the Sacramento area will be strongly favored. Previous California pension experience required.
Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements and design solutions for requested ERP features and functionality.
- Develop and support Oracle PeopleSoft HCM applications and related legacy components.
- Participate in Oracle Fusion HCM implementation, migration, testing, and data-cleanup activities.
- Support PeopleSoft HCM, EPM, FSCM, PeopleTools, Oracle databases, and related infrastructure.
- Consolidate and migrate data from legacy systems to cloud-based Oracle platforms.
- Review and validate fixes deployed by development teams in production and test environments.
- Troubleshoot complex application incidents and document resolutions.
- Collaborate with business users, client technical teams, and the Oracle Fusion implementation vendor.
- Conduct ongoing knowledge-transfer sessions covering complex development and incident-resolution activities.
- Document technical designs, development procedures, data processes, and system resolutions.
- Complete required security awareness training, confidentiality documentation, and client disclosure forms.
- Previous CalPERS experience is required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of Oracle PeopleSoft development and legacy support experience.
- Demonstrated experience with Oracle Fusion implementations, migrations, and data cleanup.
- Minimum 10 years developing data strategies and implementing data solutions for Oracle PeopleSoft HCM.
- Minimum 10 years providing technical expertise for data consolidation and migration to cloud platforms.
- Minimum 10 years supporting Oracle Cloud products and SaaS environments.
- Minimum 10 years supporting Oracle databases and related infrastructure.
- Strong experience with Oracle PeopleSoft HCM and associated PeopleTools.
- Experience supporting enterprise ERP integrations, upgrades, enhancements, and production incidents.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and working solutions.
- Strong technical documentation, knowledge-transfer, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Ability to report onsite in Sacramento when requested.
