Red Stag LLC is seeking a skilled full-time dispatcher who serves as the primary point of communication for drivers and customers, receiving requests, transmitting messages, and tracking loads to support daily operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate daily milk pickup from various barns.
- Communicate with dairy farms, truck drivers, and customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of milk
- Monitor and track milk supply and demand to make necessary adjustments to delivery schedules
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and customer orders
- Monitor the temperatures of milk samples
- Resolve any delivery issues or conflicts in a timely and efficient manner
- Continuously improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and maintain high customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations related to dairy production and transportation
- Ensuring safe milk practices when handling milk
- Other related duties as assigned
Key Responsibilities:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatch or logistics
- Obtain and maintain a milk handler certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with drivers and customers
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Google Docs and transportation management software (PCS)
- Knowledge of federal and state regulations related to transportation
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, on-call and after-hours, as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, lift 25 pounds, sit for an extended period, and reach overhead
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
