Red Square Dental & Orthodontics is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and patient-focused General Dentist to join our growing dental team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality comprehensive dental care, educate patients about their oral health, and work collaboratively with our clinical and administrative teams to create an excellent patient experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive and limited dental examinations.
- Diagnose dental conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Provide preventive, restorative, and emergency dental care.
- Perform procedures such as fillings, crowns, bridges, extractions, dentures, and other general dentistry services within the dentist’s training and experience.
- Review and interpret dental X-rays, scans, medical histories, and diagnostic records.
- Clearly explain diagnoses, treatment recommendations, risks, benefits, and alternatives to patients.
- Obtain informed consent before providing treatment.
- Educate patients about oral hygiene, preventive care, and recommended follow-up treatment.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation.
- Prescribe medications when clinically appropriate.
- Refer patients to dental specialists when necessary.
- Work closely with dental assistants, hygienists, treatment coordinators, and front-office employees.
- Support efficient patient flow while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Follow infection-control, OSHA, HIPAA, CDC, and practice safety requirements.
- Participate in continuing education, team meetings, and quality-improvement activities.
- Provide professional, respectful, and compassionate care to every patient.
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school.
- Current and unrestricted Texas dental license, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Current DEA registration when required for assigned duties.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Professional liability coverage as required by the practice.
- Strong clinical judgment and treatment-planning skills.
- Excellent communication and patient-education abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Commitment to ethical treatment recommendations and high-quality patient care.
- Bilingual English and Spanish skills are preferred but not required.
Preferred Experience
- Previous general dentistry experience is preferred; qualified new graduates may be considered.
- Experience treating both children and adults.
- Experience with digital X-rays, intraoral scanners, and electronic dental records.
- Experience with endodontics, oral surgery, removable prosthodontics, or cosmetic dentistry is a plus.
