Responsibilities
- Perform lawn care tasks including mowing, edging, trimming, fertilizing, and aerating to promote healthy turf growth.
- Conduct landscape maintenance such as planting, mulching, pruning, and installing garden features.
- Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently to complete various landscaping projects.
- Execute snow plowing, shoveling, and de-icing operations to ensure clear pathways and driveways during winter months.
- Utilize machinery such as excavators and other construction equipment for hardscape installation or site preparation.
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure optimal watering schedules.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure safety and longevity of all gear used on-site.
- Assist with tree care activities including trimming, pruning, planting, and removal using appropriate techniques and tools.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate a variety of landscaping and construction machinery.
- Experience in lawn care, landscape maintenance, gardening, and horticulture practices.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators or tree trimmers.
- Knowledge of snow plowing techniques and winter storm response procedures.
- Ability to perform landscaping tasks involving hardscape features like patios or walkways.
- Familiarity with irrigation systems, tree care methods, and general horticultural principles.
