What are the responsibilities and job description for the Busser/Food Runner position at Red's Lakehouse?
Red's Lakehouse Bussers must work quickly and efficiently while displaying a strong teamwork mentality and maintaining a polished personal appearance and a friendly demeanor. This position is the backbone of support for our frontline service staff, and requires a willingness and desire to help the greater good.
Responsibilities
- Daily cleaning duties as required by management
- Completion of all side work, before, during, and after the shift as required by management
- Cleaning and arranging tables in the dining room
- Assisting all staff in the service of restaurant guests
- Running food and assisting in guest seating and greeting
- Staying active and attentive to all guest’s needs at all times
- Removing trash form service areas
- Sweeping all dining areas
Requirements
- The ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment while maintaining a calm composure and a friendly demeanor
- Use of good communication skills with and showing respect to all fellow employees and management
- The ability to deliver food to tables and provide food descriptions
- Coming to work on time, and with a positive attitude every shift
- Following all policies and procedures as listed in the Employee Manual.
- Attention to cleanliness and safety
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Food safety training will be considered a plus
All bussers will undergo a 4 day training period after which they will function under a 60 day probationary work period. During training, and before being allowed to work any post training shifts, all bussers must complete and pass a Food/Menu Test and a General Restaurant Knowledge Test. Additionally successful completion of training is dependent on performance approval of the restaurant’s Designated Trainers and Managers.
