Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing to meet each pet’s specific needs and breed standards
- Handle dogs safely and confidently using proper animal restraint techniques to ensure comfort and security during grooming procedures
- Assess each pet’s health condition, noting any skin issues, injuries, or behavioral concerns, and communicate findings to pet owners or veterinary staff as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools, work areas, and equipment to uphold high hygiene standards
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with pet owners, explaining grooming procedures, and addressing questions or concerns
- Assist with pet handling during appointments, ensuring a calm environment that minimizes stress for the animals
- Support pet care routines such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, and basic veterinary-related tasks when appropriate
Experience
- 1 Year prior experience in pet grooming is highly preferred; certification from a recognized grooming program is a plus
- Be able to complete at least 4 grooms a day.
- Comfortable with All Breeds - Background in dog handling and training helps ensure safe and efficient grooming sessions
- Willing to Learn and Continue Education
- Team Player/Return Phone Calls/ Computer scheduling and communication w/Client
- Must have Reliable Transportation.
- Must have all own tools. Table and wash tub and dryers provided.
