Red Rock Ford, Inc of Williston, ND, a family-owned dealership serving North Dakota communities, is looking for a customer-focused Service Advisor to join our service team.
The Service Advisor plays a vital role in dealership operations by acting as the primary connection between customers and technicians. In this fast-paced, people-focused position, you will help customers understand their vehicle service needs, coordinate repair schedules, and ensure work moves efficiently through the shop.
This role offers strong career growth opportunities — many of our Service Managers began their careers as Service Advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and listen carefully to vehicle concerns and service needs
- Schedule service appointments and manage daily shop workflow
- Communicate repair recommendations, timelines, and costs clearly to customers
- Serve as the liaison between technicians and customers
- Monitor repair progress to ensure efficient turnaround times
- Review completed work with customers and explain services performed
- Collaborate with service and dealership leadership to maintain smooth operations
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience from check-in through vehicle pickup
Qualifications
- Previous Service Advisor, automotive technician, or customer service experience preferred (not required)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of automotive systems or willingness to learn
- Professional, team-oriented attitude
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn dealership software systems
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
