A/DACG Laborer - Lead

Position Summary

The Laborer Lead oversees the Laborers and will perform manual labor tasks using common hand tools and simple power equipment.

Essential Functions of the Position

• Provides Cleaning detail support at the Fort Bliss Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG) in support of mobilizing and deploying units/individuals.
• Loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances, moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrow or hand truck.
• Stacks materials for storage or binning.
• Collects refuse and salvageable materials.
• Moves and arranges office and household furniture, equipment, and appliances and machinery.
• Spreads sand and salt on icy walkways.
• Picks up leaves and trash.
• Provide baggage support when needed.
• Must be able to obtain certification for telescoping, skid steer forklift and bobcat.
• Will support and enforce the QC/Safety’s Programs guidance.
• Will comply with all OSHA regulatory safety standards.
• Will require having flexed hours to accommodate for mission requirements to include weekends and Holidays.
• Understand and comply with all Performance Work Statement requirements.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Oversees Laborers. Monitors employee performance, training, development, and recognition.
• Creates work schedules and keeps team members informed of mission report times.
• Ensures all tasks are performed in a timely and accurate manner according to set policy and standard.
• Ensures all employees are compliant with Company policies and procedures.

Physical Demands

• Required to walk, stand, sit, and move about the property for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications and Expectations

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Ability to follow oral or written instructions in English.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.

Work Environment

• Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
• Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CAC access.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to maintain post driving privileges.
• Prior experience working with/for the US Military, a plus.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
