Shooting Range Manager

MANAGER REQUIREMENTS FOR RR RANGE

OVERVIEW

·        Position Title:  Shooting Range Manager

·        Hours: Monday through Friday with some weekends minimum of 40 Hrs per week required..

·        Salary Range: Salary based position, dependent on experience.

·        Benefits: Paid time-off, to be discussed, Holidays: after 2 months of employment will receive (7) number of paid holidays.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES              

·        Financial Management: Manage accounting operations of volunteer treasurer, prepare budgets and ensure compliance of grant and tax rules for a non-profit organization. Reports to Executive Board of RR Range.

·        Safety Oversight: Enforce strict firearms safety rules, conduct safety briefings and training.

·        Staff Management: Handle hiring-one part-time employee.  Manage shift scheduling, training, and daily supervision of front desk, RSO’s and volunteers.  Range work force is volunteer based.

·        Facility Maintenance: Monitor and coordinate maintenance for all ranges and work space, ventilation systems, filter systems and physical grounds.

·        Customer Service: Manage memberships, event calendars, resolve complaints.

SKILLS

·        Strong Organization and Customer Service Skills

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Google and other software RR Range uses.

·        Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

·        Proactive approach to problem solving.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

·        Experience:  Minimum 2-3 years in management, supervisory experience, Basic knowledge of shooting sports.  Have experience working with volunteers.

·        Certifications:  Current First Aid, CPR and AED certificates, NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) or Rangemaster certification within first year of employment.

·        Legal Requirements: Ability to legally possess and handle firearms.

·        Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, work in a loud environment, and lift 30-40 lbs.  Must have a reliable vehicle.
