Red River Pharmacy Services is seeking a motivated and dependable Infusion Staff Pharmacist to join our growing team in Texarkana. This position is ideal for a pharmacist who is passionate about patient care, clinical excellence, and working in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
This role includes participation in an on-call rotation to support patient needs after normal business hours.
Position Responsibilities- Review, verify, and dispense infusion medications accurately and efficiently
- Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Monitor patient medication therapy and provide clinical recommendations when appropriate
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff regarding infusion treatments and medication management
- Counsel patients and caregivers on medications, administration, and side effects
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Participate in pharmacy quality assurance and safety initiatives
- Assist with inventory management and medication ordering
- Participate in rotating on-call schedule
- Active Pharmacist license in Texas (Arkansas license preferred or ability to obtain)
- Infusion pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong clinical knowledge and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Long-term care or specialty pharmacy experience is a plus
