Staff Pharmacist – Infusion & Long-Term Care
Join Red River Pharmacy Services in Tyler, Texas! Our growing pharmacy team is seeking a motivated and patient-focused Staff Pharmacist to support our infusion and long-term care operations. Our Tyler location specializes in home infusion and long-term care pharmaceutical services for patients across East Texas.
Position Summary
The Staff Pharmacist will work closely with pharmacy staff, nurses, providers, and long-term care facilities to ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication dispensing and clinical support. This role involves both infusion and long-term care pharmacy services in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently
- Monitor patient medication therapies and provide clinical recommendations
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and facility staff regarding medication management
- Oversee sterile and non-sterile compounding as needed
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare partners
- Participate in on-call rotation as required
- Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation
- Support infusion therapy and long-term care medication services
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacist license required
- Infusion pharmacy experience preferred
- Long-term care pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and clinical skills
- IV/sterile compounding knowledge preferred
