WAREHOUSE WORKER
JOB GOAL/PURPOSE
Under the supervision and direction of the Warehouse Manager, perform a variety of warehouse functions including receipt, inspection, storage, processing, inventory and issuing of assigned goods; occasionally drive a vehicle to various customer locations to deliver supplies (hot shot – company pick up) The incumbents in this classification provide our customers with proper storage, inventory and delivery of materials which directly support their needs.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
The Warehouse Worker performs duties pertaining to the timely and accurate delivery, storage and inventory of items while working effectively with minimum supervision.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs a variety of duties related to the shipping, receiving, storing and issuing of assigned goods; assures supplies, equipment and materials are delivered in a timely manner.
- May participate in a variety of functions; loads and unloads shipments; fills and processes daily orders; assures proper and timely distribution of items and supplies.
- Load truck with appropriate product.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas at all times.
- Maintain various records; Complete routine documents, maintain files, and prepare and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate with and educate customers on our products.
REQUIREMENTS
- Valid state driver’s license.
- Clean MVR/driving record required.
- Must pass drug screen, physical ability test.
- Strong organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities.
- Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and exposure to uncomfortable temperature level.
- Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet schedules and timelines.
- Perform the physical duties of the job (e.g., lift and carry heavy objects, stoop, climb, reach, and bend)
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Warehouse experience a plus

- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time
- Walking
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling heavy objects up to 50 pounds without assistance

WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Exposure to extreme temperatures during summer and winter conditions
- Indoor/outdoor, vehicle and warehouse
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
