What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mortgage Loan Closer position at Red River Bank?
Summary Communicates and coordinates with loan officers, staff, and title companies to make sure everything is completed and file is ready for closing and generates closing packages.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Review title work once received for correct chain of title, fees, and other potential items that need to be addressed
- Work with loan officers, processors, and underwriters on any closing conditions
- Work with title companies regularly to balance closing disclosures and coordinate closings
- Verify accuracy and consistency of all closing documents, information, and numbers and make sure all guidelines and compliance rules are met
- Research loan programs to ensure knowledge for guidelines for all programs and loan types
- Prepare loan closing packages and send to title companies timely for closings
- Prepare wires and certified checks timely for signing to be processed for loan closings
- Comply with all applicable banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act. Follows Red River Bank policies and procedures. Attends or completes all required training.

Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED); mortgage or loan closing experience preferred.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word and Excel software.
