Responsibilities
- Perform detailed cleaning tasks across commercial, residential, and industrial settings, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and scrubbers to maintain floors and surfaces in top condition.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and safety protocol adherence.
- Conduct custodial maintenance activities like trash removal, restroom sanitation, and surface cleaning to ensure facilities meet health standards.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs, heavy lifting using safe lifting practices, and supporting general upkeep efforts.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to client requests and ensuring their satisfaction with cleanliness standards.
- Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, supplies inventory, and safety compliance documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with familiarity in commercial or industrial cleaning environments.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation procedures, and the operation of cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while adhering to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
- Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence and maintaining a clean, hazard-free environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a professional attitude when interacting with clients or team members.
- Prior experience in facilities maintenance or Porter roles is a plus but not required; training will be provided for the right candidates.
