Red Ox Construction is a construction company located in Covington, LA. We specialize in commercial construction, highways, streets and bridges, heavy civil, and municipal and public works. Red Ox Construction is seeking a civil foreman to join our team.
We are seeking an experienced Civil Foreman to lead field crews on civil construction projects. The Foreman will be responsible for coordinating manpower, equipment, and materials to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and on schedule. This position requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to enforce company safety standards and construction best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently lead, direct, and supervise field crews performing dirt work, concrete work, foundations, utilities, or any additional civil tasks.
- Read, interpret, and apply project specifications, drawings, and other technical documentation.
- Communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and project management teams.
- Ensure crews are properly equipped with tools, equipment, and materials.
- Collaborate with other discipline foremen and supervisors to align resources and schedules for project success.
- Enforce company safety policies and procedures; lead by example in maintaining a safe work environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Foreman in civil construction.
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate crews while fostering teamwork and accountability.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to give clear instructions.
