Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Engage with customers warmly, providing excellent service and answering questions about menu items
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and cash handling procedures with accuracy and integrity
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation areas and throughout the café
- Assist in food handling, food safety compliance, and basic food preparation tasks to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining high service standards
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or background in the food industry is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently using excellent time management skills
- Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and transaction processing
- Knowledge of food safety procedures, food handling, and food preparation techniques
- Experience in serving beverages and food in a café or drive-thru environment is desirable
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
