Pay Range: $78,000 - $86,000


Job Summary:

The Employee Success Manager is responsible for creating, supporting, and continuously improving systems, programs, and initiatives that enhance the employee experience, strengthen organizational culture, and support workforce engagement, performance, and retention. This position partners closely with leadership, employees, and community stakeholders to ensure that the organization attracts, develops, and retains a diverse, values-aligned, and high-performing team.

Major Duties and Accountabilities:

1. Recruiting & Retention: Develop culturally aligned recruitment and retention strategies. Collaborate with the recruiter and leadership to refine talent acquisition processes and ensure inclusivity.

2. Onboarding & Integration: Design and maintain a comprehensive onboarding program that supports new-hire success and cultural integration.

3. Training & Development: Assist leadership in locating and implementing staff development programs including service skills, de-escalation, and crucial conversations.

4. Employee Engagement & Experience: Facilitate the employee engagement council, conduct surveys, gather feedback, and lead initiatives to enhance satisfaction and retention.

5. Performance & Development Support: Partner with managers and employees to support performance conversations, development planning, and career growth.

6. Culture & Values Champion: Promote organizational values through communication, events, and initiatives that reinforce a positive workplace culture.

7. Community Outreach: Participate in community events and collaborate with clinic leadership to represent recruitment and retention efforts.

8. Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Provide empathetic, neutral support for employee relations matters, mediating disputes and guiding policy-aligned resolutions.

9. Wellness & Well-being: Collaborate with the Benefits Administrator to promote employee wellness programs including mental health and work-life balance resources.

10. Feedback & Communication: Establish clear communication channels and advocate for employee needs with leadership.

11. Policy & Process Improvement: Assist in the development and refinement of HR policies and procedures; collaborate with legal counsel as needed.

12. Data & Analytics: Track and analyze key workforce metrics (retention, engagement, pulse surveys) to inform strategies and measure program effectiveness.

13. Advocacy & Support: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders for professional and personal workplace matters.

14. Management & Oversight: Identify and coordinate external vendors and services to maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, including safety and emergency preparedness.

  • Confidentiality: Assures patient and clinic confidentiality. Complies with HIPAA guidelines regarding patient confidentiality and protected health information.
  • Independence/Initiative: Demonstrates reliability, follow-through, ability to work with minimal supervision, desire and ability to accept additional responsibility.

Job Qualifications:

Equipment operated:

Standard office equipment including computers, faxes, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.

Education/Experience:

1. 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, Employee Relations, or similar employee-facing role.

2. Proven success in employee engagement and development programs.

3. Experience in community outreach, marketing, volunteer coordination, or similar roles.

4. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field OR equivalent 3–5 years of experience.

5. Proficiency in HR systems and data analytics tools.

Bonus Points:

1. Experience in a complex, fast-paced healthcare environment.

2. SHRM-CP or PHR certification.

3. Experience with change management initiatives.

4. Familiarity with Tehama County community or service clubs.

5. Understanding of DEI best practices.

Physical: Climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, pushing, feeling with both hands, twisting, reaching above, at or below shoulder level, eye/hand/foot coordination. Will stand and walk 20-30% of the time and sit 70-80% of the time. Temperatures of the working areas vary from cold to warm. Exposure to communicable diseases, sharp instruments and bodily fluids.
