We are seeking a Lead Manufacturing Linux / Network Engineer who is both deeply hands-on and capable of leading infrastructure initiatives across manufacturing environments. This role is ideal for someone who has not only supported Linux and network systems, but has also owned improvements, driven process changes, and led technical execution end-to-end.
Technical Focus
- Linux (RHEL / Rocky Linux): 55%
- Networking (Routing, Switching, VLANs, BGP, OSPF): 35%
- Firewalls (Palo Alto): 10%
Responsibilities
- Own and support Linux and network infrastructure across manufacturing environments
- Design, deploy, and maintain highly available Linux systems and services
- Lead infrastructure improvements in reliability, automation, and operational processes
- Drive end-to-end infrastructure initiatives from design through implementation
- Manage enterprise networking (routing, switching, VLANs, segmentation)
- Administer Palo Alto firewalls and security policies
- Develop automation using Ansible and scripting tools
- Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to support production systems
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues impacting operations
- Maintain documentation, standards, and operational best practices
Required Qualifications
- 7 years of Linux infrastructure experience (RHEL / Rocky Linux)
- Strong networking experience (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, BGP/OSPF)
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls
- Strong automation experience (Ansible or scripting)
- Experience supporting production or manufacturing environments
- Proven ability to drive infrastructure improvements and technical initiatives
- Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Manufacturing, industrial, or OT environment experience
- Experience leading infrastructure modernization or automation projects
- Cloud/hybrid experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience as a technical lead or infrastructure owner
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
