Red Oak Recovery Center is a trauma-informed clinical addiction treatment center for men. We strive to provide a safe and welcoming environment where individuals can focus on their recovery and begin a journey to a new chapter in their lives. Part of creating that safe and welcoming environment is ensuring that our campus is kept up to date with all necessary inspections and repairs and maintains a professional appearance.

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for planning, performing, and overseeing facility maintenance and operations and services. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently as well as collaborate with other departments, must be able to establish and maintain good working relationships with our vendors and contractors and will maintain complete confidentiality of clients in our program.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the construction/repair of structures
  • Ensures continuous maintenance of safety, cleanliness, and appearance of all facilities
  • Conduct and document monthly building inspections
  • Encourage safety of all staff and clients by continuously maintaining and inspecting facilities, grounds, equipment, and proper procedure
  • Maintain all groundskeeping equipment and record all monthly inspections and maintenance
  • Assist in upkeep of the grounds as assigned by supervisor
  • Mulch, edge, trim, and perform general landscaping
  • Periodic furniture installation and assembly
  • Oversee ticketing system and ticket completion
  • Oversee vendor quotes and estimates, as needed
  • Mentor and work with approved clients daily in internships and service projects related to role and responsibilities
  • Work with operations department staff on combined projects
  • Assist the Operations Team and Facility CEO with large projects
  • Ensure self and others are maintaining safe workspace and wearing protective gear
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise
  • Be a part of the on-call primary responder rotation
  • Remain in compliance with all assigned competencies and trainings
  • Perform other duties as required and assigne
  • Maintain complete confidentiality

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum HS diploma (or equivalent)
  • Experience in construction including electrical work
  • Working knowledge of landscape equipment/tools, including tractor use and maintenance
  • Basic landscape experience
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of purchasing, supplies, grounds-keeping, and equipment repair
  • Experience in wilderness/residential therapy
  • CADC-I or CADC
  • Understanding of OSHA
